This month I am stuck recovering from the effects of our Cancun trip - calming down my digestive system, then the family went for a round of cold again… The weather was cold earlier in the month, then went to historic warmth (above 70 degrees F in winter!) before two storms’ arrival in early February. It seems like the next generations of humans will have to evolve with a stronger immune system against the ever intensified onslaught of our nature (and it’s really our own fault, breaking nature). Enough with the doom and gloom for now…
Here are the things that kept me busy this past month, aside from the day-to-day ‘job’ related stuff…
Creating and hacking stuffs
Game Dev
Seems to be losing steam these few months. Not much is done on developing the new game. Please feel free to play the pre-released game#1 Qin! Available on Google Play store (Android phones and Chromebooks), Itch.io & gd.games (web)
Drawing
Weekly project drawing (comics) - here is a taste of the comics I’ve done this month - full 3-panel versions are on most of my social feeds, Artstation, and of course, my (paid) Patreon page.
Study drawings (#inktober52 )
#FanArt (always fun to do!)
Writing
Book#2 project -“100 Drawings of Tang Dynasty Poems” (唐詩一百畫) - continuing with editing. Broke into 3 volumes, and also looked into better fonts.
The pre-released drafts of this book will continue to be published/shared with my Patreon members every week!
The Web
Not much updates this month, so just the usual shoutouts for Heta Studio:
Consuming Stuffs
Reading - Continue reading A Song of Ice and Fire book 2 “A Clash of Kings”
Gaming - continuing Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince also a bit of Minecraft Dungeons with my 6yo.
TV/Movies - The Sopranos (S6): It’s such an awesome show! Definitely will rewatch it sometimes. "The Many Saints of Newark" (unfortunately, this is not a great script/story), "45 Years" (It plays like reading a nice book), "House of The Dragons" (absolutely love the young Daenerys played by Milly Alcock, to the point I did the fan art drawing :)
That’s it for this issue of my newsletter! If you really finished reading the above, I thank you, and wish that my sharing would either entertain you, or inspire you (if you’ve been thinking about your own creative projects).
